Las Vegas – Derek and Sheila Underhill has filed a $180,000 deal to buy sports KSHP (1400) from Pollack Broadcasting. The deal also includes the North Las Vegas, NV-licensed translator K296HP at 107.1 FM. The husband-and-wife team of Derek and Sheila Underhill already own four stations in New Mexico. Once the sale closes, William and David Pollack will still own stations in Missouri, Arkansas and Illinois.
Wilkes Barre-Scranton, PA – Ben Smith and Kevin Fitzgerald’s Geos Communications has filed a $100,000 deal to buy classic hits “Gem” WARM (590) from Kristin Cantrell’s Seven Mountains Media. The deal also includes the Scranton, PA-licensed translator W269CF at 101.7 FM. The agreement includes an $80,000 promissory note. Geos Communications already owns classic hits “Gem” WGMF/WGMM/WGMA (750/1460/1490) and Spanish “Rito” WAZL (730) in the market, as well as several FM translators. Once the sale closes, Seven Mountains Media will still own country “Bigfoot Country” WCFT (106.5), hot AC WSBG (93.5), hot AC “Pop!” WHLM/WBWX (930/1280), and classic hits “Pocono” WPCO (840), along with several FM translators…
