Cooling stations open in Spartanburg Co.

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Starting Monday, several cooling stations will open across Spartanburg County.

It is heating up in the Upstate this week, with the heat index expected to hit triple digits. Dr. John Elkes with Prisma Health said once temperatures climb above 90 degrees, heat exhaustion and heat stroke can happen quickly.
