Cats rescued from deadly Upstate fire find new home

GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – Two cats that survived a deadly Upstate house fire have found a new forever home, thanks to a community effort from veterinarians and first responders.

In December, firefighters pulled a couple and two cats from a burning home on East North Avenue in Anderson. Tragically, one of the owners later died from his injuries, and his wife required a lengthy hospitalization at Augusta Burn Center.

Suffering from smoke inhalation, the couple’s cats, Cleopatra and Cesar, were revived by Anderson City firefighters who performed mouth-to-mouth resuscitation…
