GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – As the Fourth of July holiday weekend winds down, many travelers have packed up and are heading home Sunday. But some say the roads weren’t as busy as they expected.
AAA projected this year’s Fourth of July would mark another record-breaking travel period. The organization estimated about 72.2 million Americans would travel for the holiday, a 2.2% increase from last year, in part due to the long weekend, with Independence Day falling on a Friday.
