Greenville begins work on key infrastructure projects

  • Four infrastructure projects now underway across Greenville
  • Swamp Rabbit Trail bridge over Verdae to complete by spring 2026

Work has begun in Greenville on four infrastructure projects designed to improve safety and enhance connectivity.

Engineering Director Clint Link in a news release outlined the schedule for projects along East North Street, Verdae Boulevard and West Antrim Drive.

“This work reflects a commitment to City Council’s priorities of mobility, neighborhoods and recreation and we are thrilled to be moving into the construction phase of these highly anticipated capital improvement projects,” Link said. “The projects will enhance overall accessibility for our community and pedestrian safety through the creation of wide, landscape buffered sidewalks, a grade separated crossing for the Swamp Rabbit Trail Green Line over Verdae Boulevard and enhanced street lighting…
