SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol is searching for the driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that killed a bicyclist early Thursday morning in Spartanburg County.
The collision happened around 3 a.m. on Asheville Highway, near Old Furnace Road. Troopers said they are looking for a silver or gray Honda Civic, that may have front driver’s side damage.
The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office has not yet identified the victim but provided a description.
“Based on our evaluation, the clothing worn by the decedent was camouflage pants, you know, a darker colored shirt, that I’m aware of. Nothing reflective on the back. And it was a very dark lit area. There wasn’t much light in that area,” said Coroner Rusty Clevenger…
