South Carolina Weather Alert: Thunderstorms Threaten I-85 Commute in Spartanburg by Monday Afternoon

According to the National Weather Service, scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop after 2 p.m. on Monday, July 21st, with the highest risk of activity arriving between 4 and 8 p.m. Afternoon temperatures will soar to 96°F, but it may feel as hot as 103°F due to oppressive humidity. Expect gusty winds, brief downpours, and possible lightning with any storms. Residents along I-85 and other major corridors should plan for slowdowns and wet pavement.
