PICKENS COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A bridge in Pickens County collapsed Monday afternoon, prompting an immediate shutdown of Crowe Creek Road, according to the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT).
Part of the bridge fell into the water around 1:30 p.m., with transportation crews quickly blocking off access using piles of dirt and barricades on both sides.
