SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – As the search for Spartanburg County’s next sheriff kicks off with early voting, concerns have resurfaced over county council’s decision to cut the sheriff salary by 50%.
While the sheriff’s salary was not on Monday night’s agenda, that didn’t stop voters from raising worries about the salary slash—from $219,000 to $100,000—including one council member who voted for the cut.
