Heat advisory issued. Hang on, relief is on the way: what to do now to stay cool

Extreme heat is beating down on the Upstate, and while experts say relief is on the way, it is important for people to be mindful of the health dangers of hot temperatures.

The National Weather Service’s Greenville-Spartanburg office forecasts highs between 95 and 100 over the weekend into early next week, with heat index values between 100 and 109.
