The Prisma Health Transplant Center will offer services in Greenville for patients who may be candidates for liver transplants. Previously, patients would travel to transplant centers throughout the region.
The program received approval from the United Network for Organ Sharing in June and has completed its first liver transplant. A list has been compiled of candidates who may be eligible for liver transplants in the future.
