Hotels are an essential infrastructure for Greenville’s robust tourism industry. Several new Greenville hotel projects are in various stages of development within the city limits. Here are status updates on five notable developments.

County Square
University Ridge, Greenville
Hospitality options are planned for the $1 billion Greenville Downtown Redevelopment Project. RocaPoint Partners, the developer leading the project, told the Upstate Business Journal that while hotel development remains part of the long-term vision, details have not been finalized.
“Our approach remains market-driven and intentional. We continue to evaluate opportunities to ensure any potential hospitality components align with the project’s broader vision and the evolving needs of downtown Greenville. We will share updates as warranted,” according to the company’s statement.
The 40-acre development along University Ridge will also feature a mix of commercial, office and residential buildings. Site work and roadway reconfiguration have been underway for the project over the last several months.
Bowater Building
