Greer gets $10M grant to strengthen wastewater infrastructure

Greer’s Commission of Public Works has received a $10 million grant to improve wastewater infrastructure through the S.C. Rural Infrastructure Authority in a project that will expand capacity at CPW’s Maple Creek wastewater treatment plant.

Greer CPW is one of 216 public water and sewer utilities across the state to receive SCRIA funding to improve water and sanitary sewer infrastructure and stormwater resilience.

CPW has selected Black & Veatch as the design engineer and Reeves Young as the contractor for a $13.2 million project that will expand capacity at Maple Creek from its current capacity of 5 million gallons per day to 7.5 MGD…
