SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – Spartanburg County voters made their voices heard on Tuesday, and will have a chance to do so again later this month.
On Tuesday, voters cast ballots for their choice of nine candidates running to be Spartanburg County’s next sheriff. Because no candidate received more than 50% of votes, the top two candidates – Bill Rhyne and Rusty Clevenger – will head to a runoff election scheduled for Tuesday, August 19.
The winner of the runoff will run unopposed in a special election on Tuesday, November 4.
