Upstate man will spend quarter century in prison after fatal overdose

An Upstate man will spend a quarter century in prison after distributing fentanyl to a man who died from an overdose.

The U.S. Department of Justice says 28 year old, Mylique McFadden of Simpsonville has been convicted on charges of distribtuin of fentanyl resulting in death and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

Court evidence showed McFadden sold fentanyl to a Greenville man and an hour later the man died from an overdose. McFadden’s cell phone records showed that text messages between the two men arranging the drug deal and surveillance video showed them meeting…
