Driver killed in crash with disabled dump truck on South Carolina road, cops say

One person was killed Wednesday when a pickup truck crashed into the back of dump truck that was disabled on an Upstate road, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The collision happened at about 6:30 a.m. in Spartanburg County, said Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway.

A 1997 GMC pickup truck was driving north on S.C. 101, according to Ridgeway. Near the intersection with Kirby Road the pickup crashed into the rear of a disabled 2023 Mack dump truck that was stopped on S.C. 101, Ridgeway said…
