Spartanburg County pet resource center to open in 2026

SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – Progress is being made towards the pet resource center in Spartanburg County, as officials said they’re planning on opening in 2026.

The $24.6M facility will be located on Southport Road and will include animal housing, isolation housing, adoption and clinic lobbies, staff officers, surgery, x-ray, pharmacy, and exam rooms, and a multipurpose room.

Outside, the structure will have multiple fenced animal yards, artificial turf zones, temporary housing for farm animals, and 72 parking spaces.
