Surfside Beach police, North Carolina deputies track down stolen golf cart sold on Facebook Marketplace

SURFSIDE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — A 36-year-old South Carolina man is facing multiple charges after he allegedly stole a Surfside Beach resident’s nearly $15,000 golf cart in early February and then sold it to someone in North Carolina via Facebook Marketplace.

Kenneth Blakeley Davis of Simpsonville was charged with grand larceny and other crimes and booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center in July after an extensive investigation by Surfside Beach police and the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office.

Davis also allegedly stole a utility trailer from the Garden City area and sold it and the golf cart to someone in Chandler, North Carolina…
