Upstate murder suspect denied bond again, placed on immigration hold

GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – A man who officials said is not in the U.S. legally and charged with murder appeared in court on Friday morning.

The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office said they charged Edgar Diego with murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and possession of a firearm by an unlawful alien.

In Nov. 2024, officials said 19-year-old Pedro Juan Pascual was found lying in the road on Pine Street with a gunshot wound to the head.

The sheriff’s office said the case was the only 2024 cold case until Diego was arrested and first denied bond in April of 2025…
