Clemson Cashes in With $468K From First Beer Sales as Police Weigh Impact

Clemson’s decision to begin selling alcohol at sporting events is already paying off — literally.

According to numbers obtained via a Freedom of Information Act request, Clemson reported selling 45,045 individual alcoholic beverages during Saturday night’s season opener against LSU at Memorial Stadium. The sales generated a gross revenue of $467,843.

That’s a whole lot of beers and seltzers for one football game…
