HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Amid the recent suspensions and firings of employees for social media posts, an attorney says freedom of speech does not protect workers and their online activity.
Attorney Jarrett Bouchette says if it causes problems with your employer then they are allowed to take action against you.
“First amendment only applies to actions taken by the government,” he said. “In other words, your first amendment rights are to protect you from government action infringing upon those rights.”…
