Infant safely surrendered at Greenville hospital under Daniel’s Law

GREENVILLE, S.C. — Prisma Health–Greenville Memorial Hospital has accepted a baby girl surrendered under Daniel’s Law, South Carolina’s Safe Haven for Abandoned Babies Act. Officials confirmed the infant was surrendered on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.

The baby girl was born on September 3, weighing 4 pounds, 9.4 ounces and measuring 17.3 inches long. After being surrendered, Greenville County DSS took custody of the child, completed a medical evaluation, and placed her in a licensed foster home.

A Permanency Planning Hearing and Termination of Parental Rights Hearing has been scheduled for October 28 at 9:30 a.m. in Greenville County Family Court. Anyone who believes they have parental rights to the child must attend the hearing to assert them…
