A Greenville County man has been arrested and charged in connection with a series of vehicle break-ins at recreation areas in Oconee County. Travis Lamont Boyd, 47, of Daisy Drive, was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 2:40 a.m. on Thursday.
Boyd faces multiple charges, including three counts of Breaking into a Motor Vehicle, two counts of Petit Larceny, and one count each of Malicious Injury to Property and Grand Larceny.
The charges stem from three separate incidents reported on August 30. Arrest warrants allege that Boyd broke into vehicles at several locations:
- Fall Creek Landing #1 on Shallow Ford Road near Salem, where he is accused of breaking a window and stealing a Louis Vuitton bag from a 2016 Toyota Corolla.
- Fish Hatchery Road in Mountain Rest, where he allegedly broke into a 2018 Toyota CH-R and stole a Coach purse, a case, a ring, and electronics.
- Highway 28 River Access in Mountain Rest, where he is accused of taking a Kate Spade purse, cash, bank cards, and prescription glasses from a 2022 Hyundai Sante Fe.
Boyd was released from jail on a combined $105,000 surety bond and is required to wear an ankle monitor as a condition of his release…
