An off duty Anderson County detective is dead after a collision Wednesday in Anderson County. That crash occurred around 1:15PM on Anderson Highway near Vernon Street, just outside the city limits of Williamston.
The driver of a 2005 Buick sedan was making a left turn into a private drive, in front of a biker on a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle. The driver of the Buick was not injured, but the biker, 56 year old Mark Garret died at the scene.
Garret was an Anderson County Sheriff’s Office detective, who had been a fire fighter before joining law enforcement in 2009 and had worked for several agencies in Clemson, Williamston and Anderson County…
