The Laurens County Coroner’s Office has posted: “Per Coroner Patti Canupp – On Friday, October 3rd, 2025, Chief Deputy Coroner Ashley Rushton responded to Kingsborough Circle in Clinton, SC in reference to a shooting victim. The victim was pronounced deceased on scene. The victim has been identified as 20- year-old Taneal Evans of Clinton, SC. A forensic autopsy was performed. The incident is being investigated by SLED, Laurens County Coroner’s Office and Laurens County Sheriff’s Office. No further details are available at this time.”
Laurens County Sheriff’s Office issued this statement: “On 10/3 at approximately 9 pm, deputies responded to Coleman Road in Clinton in reference to a shooting incident. Upon arrival, one individual was found to be deceased. There was a separate individual who had already been transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds. Details are limited at this time.
