LAURENS COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office is warning the public of a recent scam after receiving several reports from county residents.
The sheriff’s office said they have gotten several reports of people receiving unexpected packages in the mail that contain jewelry and a card containing a QR code.
According to the sheriff’s office, the sender of the package requests recipients scan the QR code with their phone.
