$1.6 million in counterfeit merchandise seized during I-85 traffic stop: deputies

GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A traffic stop along Interstate 85 led to the discovery of about $1.6 million worth of counterfeit merchandise, according to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.

Members of the Greenville County Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Enforcement Task Force made the traffic stop Monday.

According to investigators, the shipment was headed to Atlanta from New Jersey.
