GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) — Greenville County Council says there are more than two dozen fire districts across the county. Now, county council has approved a study to see if consolidating some of them could improve efficiency – potentially changing how they’re governed, funded, and operated.
A Greenville County Council vote of 8-3 kicked off the fire consolidation study, introduced by Councilman Ennis Fant.
