George Strait will return to Tigertown this May, Clemson University announced on Oct. 17. The last concert in Death Valley was in 1999, when the country music legend headlined his own music festival in the stadium.
When Strait rocks Death Valley on May 2, he’ll be supported by Cody Johnson and Wyatt Flores. According to a press release from the University, Strait will be performing an “in-the-round” stadium show, meaning that the stage will be located in the center of the field, allowing a larger audience to enjoy the show than in a standard concert setup.
Strait is one of the best-selling country artists of all time, with a 31-album discography that includes 27 No. 1 Billboard Top Country Albums. He’s set multiple attendance records for concerts by a single artist, so tickets are almost certain to sell quickly once they go on sale later this month…
