The Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport is hosting a food drive for those affected by the government shutdown, which began Oct. 1. The food drive began Oct. 20 at 7 a.m. and will continue throughout the duration of the shutdown.
Visitors are encouraged to contribute shelf-stable foods and household products.
The items donated are administered through a pop-up pantry at the airport which will serve the airport’s government workers employed through Transportation Security Administration, Federal Aviation Administration, National Weather Service and U.S. Customs and Border Protection, among others…
