WELLFORD, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The 7th Circuit Solicitor’s Office reports a Wellford man pleaded guilty to child abuse charges on Monday following his arrest in 2022.
The solicitor’s office said 28-year-old Ian Tatro abused his 8-year-old daughter by giving her animal feces as a Christmas gift, making her stand in the garbage can for hours while trash was thrown on her, repeatedly hitting her with a cutting board, force-feeding her laxatives, restricting her from using the bathroom and making her wear a diaper.
The victim was one of four children taken into emergency protective custody with DSS, and she spent two days in the hospital, according to the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office.
Tatro pleaded guilty to twenty counts of unlawful neglect of a child and obstruction of justice. He was sentenced to 50 years in prison…
