ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A man has been found guilty and sentenced to up to 30 years in prison for drug trafficking and possession.
Kha Ree Bernard La’Tre Golden was not present at his trial Friday, but was sentenced to 25 to 30 years in prison and a fine of $200,000 for trafficking over 400 grams of cocaine and possession of a large quantity of magic mushrooms, the 10th Circuit Solicitor’s Office said.
In February 2023, Anderson County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Hunter Ruff discovered the drugs during a traffic stop after pulling Golden over for a traffic infraction. Golden attempted to flee on foot into the woods, near the Interstate 85, according to the solicitor’s office…
