New Transfer Agreement Offers Greenville Tech Graduates Online Degree Opportunities and Scholarships

Greenville Technical College (GTC) has signed a transfer agreement with Western Governors University (WGU). This agreement allows GTC graduates to continue their education online. GTC graduates and employees can apply for WGU Community College Partner Scholarships, which are worth up to $3,500.

WGU is a nonprofit, accredited university founded in 1997. It offers more than 80 degree and certificate programs in business, technology, health care, and K-12 education. The university uses a competency-based model, and tuition for most bachelor’s programs averages $4,000 per six-month term.

There are over 7,300 WGU alumni in South Carolina. GTC is part of the Community Colleges of Appalachia, which gives its graduates and staff access to WGU’s Learn Where You Live Scholarship…
