Man fresh out of prison arrested in connection to Upstate home burglary

WALHALLA, S.C. (WSPA) — Deputies have charged a man wanted in connection to a home burglary that took place in February 2024.

Investigators said 38-year-old Brandon Scott Creel of Easley was arrested and booked into the Oconee County Detention Center Tuesday, right after being released from the Kirkland Correctional Institution in Columbia.

Creel is the second person to be charged in the home burglary investigation. Another suspect, 26-year-old Michael Anthony McCrary of Pickens, was arrested on June 4, 2024 for his involvement in the burglary. He was then transported from the Anderson County Detention Center to Oconee County…
