Greenville-Spartanburg Weather: Most of Region Saw Below-Average Rain in October

Greenville, SC – Most of Upstate South Carolina finished October 2025 drier than normal, with only isolated pockets near the I-85 corridor recording above-average rainfall, according to a new climate summary from the National Weather Service Greenville-Spartanburg.

Meteorologists said much of the region received 2 to 4 inches of rain for the month, with locally higher amounts around Anderson, Greenville, and Spartanburg Counties. The heaviest totals, between 4 and 6 inches, were concentrated along I-85, while many surrounding counties measured 50–75% of normal rainfall
