COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina State Guard will begin leading food distribution operations this week to help families impacted by the federal government shutdown and the halt of new Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits.
Deployment schedules show that operations will run November 5–7 and November 10–14, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at two Harvest of Hope Food Bank locations in the state’s two largest metro areas: Columbia and Greenville.
