Greenville County deputy justified in using deadly force on suspect with hammer

GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office released a critical incident report on a deputy-involved shooting that took place in September.

Officials said on Sept. 28, deputies were called to a home on Stegall Circle after receiving a call about someone trespassing on a vacant property.

During the 911 call, the caller repeated multiple times that the suspect, identified as 44-year-old Johnny Ray Moore Jr., was going to make law enforcement kill him.
