Two airlifted to hospital after fire at popular Upstate restaurant

PENDLETON, S.C. (WSPA) – Two people were airlifted Friday afternoon after Anderson County emergency crews responded to a fire at a barbecue restaurant around 3:45 p.m.

General Manager of the Smokin’ Pig, Morris Tate said equipment in the kitchen had caught fire. Two line cooks were injured.

“Yeah, you could hear it,” he said. “It was fairly loud.”…
