GREENVILLE, S.C. — The City of Greenville passed an anti-camping ordinance that prohibits people from sleeping in public for more than two hours.
On Monday, the Greenville City Council held a second and final reading of the law, narrowly approving it by a 4-3 vote. The council previously passed the measure on its first reading with a similar vote.
First presented to the council in June, the measure outlaws storing personal belongings, setting up a tent or bedding, and using a car as a shelter on public property.
