COLUMBIA, S.C. (WSPA) – On Thanksgiving Day, one Boiling Springs church made sure no one had to spend the holiday by themselves. At Northbrook Baptist Church, it wasn’t just about the turkey and the sides — it was about connection.
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., volunteers welcomed anyone who walked through the doors. This year, more than 100 people spent their holiday preparing, serving, and sharing meals with the community.
“Loneliness can be a real issue,” said Pastor Benny Green of Northbrook Baptist Church. “Church, to me, is family. We invite anyone to be part of that family. Sharing a meal is a great way to be family today.”…
