Spartanburg Police Department responded to a domestic violence call on Boxwood Lane after 3:50 p.m. Saturday, where 68-year-old Michael Disantos allegedly threatened and attempted to hit his wife due to disputes over cigarettes and alcohol. The wife initially declined charges, but a second assault report after 5:02 p.m. at a neighbor’s home detailed Disantos striking her nose, causing bleeding and bruising. Disantos was charged with third-degree domestic violence, showed signs of intoxication, and was booked into Spartanburg County Detention Center awaiting bond.
