Saluda Fire & Rescue honors members at annual Christmas dinner

SALUDA—On December 5, Saluda Fire & Rescue gathered for its annual Christmas dinner, an end-of-year tradition that brings members together to reflect on the department’s work and recognize individuals for exceptional service. The event offered a chance for volunteers and staff to share a meal, celebrate accomplishments and mark the close of another active year for the agency.

Several members were honored with service awards. Five-year recognitions were presented to Bob Yonas, Sarah Seiler and Patrick Corn for their continued commitment to the department. Blake Sigmon received a 10-year service award, acknowledging a decade of involvement and steady contributions.

Manny Ed was named EMT of the Year for his performance and reliability in emergency medical response, and Firefighter of the Year was presented to Dylan Ward, who was recognized for his work on fire calls and his support of department operations throughout the year.
