Greenville Co. deputies rescue abandoned puppies

GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) — Seven puppies were discovered abandoned in a laundry hamper in Greenville County earlier this week, prompting a 911 call from a concerned citizen. The puppies were found during a time when cold temperatures pose significant risks to animals.

The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office responded to the distress call, emphasizing the dangers faced by abandoned animals during the winter months. “Anyone who can abandon innocent animals in the cold shows a complete disregard for life,” the agency noted.

The deputy who arrived on the scene was able to gather the puppies and bring them to the office. Once they arrived at the dispatch center, deputies said one of the dispatchers opened their home to provide care for the puppies, ensuring they received warmth and attention.
