ANDERSON, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Anderson Fire Department responded to a brush fire near the site of a historic cotton mill on Sunday.
Officials said a call came in around 5:21 p.m. reporting a fire at 354 Railroad Circle near the site of the old Abney Mill.
The Centerville and Homeland Park fire departments assisted with the response. Crews with the Anderson County Fire Department also assisted after responding to an earlier fire near the site of the old Appleton Mill on K Street.
The fire took about an hour to extinguish, according to the department. No injuries were reported…
