SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) — A death investigation is underway Thursday afternoon in Spartanburg County after a man previously reported missing was found dead.
The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office responded before 2 p.m. to the Whitney Community off of Chesnee Highway in relation to the death.
The coroner told 7NEWS, neighbors in the area were walking along the Lawson Fork Creek when they spotted the body, and called the sheriffs office. At the scene, deputies discovered a body in the creek.
The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased as 26-year-old Benjamin Tyler Hensley, of Spartanburg. He was pronounced dead at 2:46 p.m. Thursday…
