GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) — Uber is now offering Women Preferences in Greenville, allowing women drivers, riders, and teen accounts a chance to be matched with women for their trip.
The new feature expanded its pilot test to 29 more cities after positive feedback from its users. Uber said about 75% of women riders support an option to match with women, which led them to bring the option to the Upstate.
The company said this feature is designed to offer more choice, comfort, and control.
In a statement, Camiel Irving, Uber’s VP of Operations, said “Women Preferences exist because women asked for more control, and we listened. We’re committed to expanding this feature until every woman in America has access, whether she’s riding or driving.”…
