Fountain Inn High School will be in Class 4A for at least the next two years after the South Carolina High School League announced its classification placement for the 2026-27 school year.
The SCHSL reclassifies its schools every two years. Following any appeals during the week of Jan. 13, initial region placements will be handed out on Jan. 23. Final placements are scheduled to be announced on Feb. 18.
FIHS has competed in Region 1-4A for the past two years, and it was thought that the school’s student population could have grown enough for the Fury to move into Class 5A, the SCHSL’s largest classification, for this realignment…
