GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) — The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an animal cruelty case following the discovery of five deceased dogs.
Three dogs were found along McKittrick Bridge Road Extension in Fountain Inn on Saturday, Dec. 27, where each dog had been shot at least once. The dispatch center received a 911 call around 6 p.m. regarding the incident.
Deputies said the animals were left with a blanket and none of them had collars or identification microchips, leading investigators to believe that the dogs were intentionally harmed.
