South Carolina Officer Ambushed Outside Greenville Law Enforcement Center

GREENVILLE, S.C. (BFMG) — A Greenville Police officer was ambushed early Sunday morning outside the Greenville County Law Enforcement Center in what officials say was a targeted attack against law enforcement. The incident later led to a pursuit and an exchange of gunfire that left the suspect dead.

Police said the attack occurred around 1:49 a.m. at the law enforcement complex at 4 McGee St. The injured officer was taken to a nearby hospital, where he remains under medical care.
