A suspect is in custody after a weekend standoff in Pickens County. The incident began Saturday when the suspect tried to access a secure area of a church where children were present.
The suspect who has not yet been publicly identified was restrained by security. A family member of the suspect contacted the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office and told them the suspect was facing drug and mental health issues.
